Project T9 was conceived as the flagship model in JAC Motors’ pickup truck lineup. Based on the T6 platform, both the T8 and T9 variants were developed to address different customer demographics and market needs.

The project was particularly challenging due to the extensive cross-sharing of components between the two models, as well as the concurrent design and development of the T8(Interior) and T9 within the same schedule. This required close coordination across design and engineering throughout the development process.

The project was led by our Japan studio, with strong collaboration from our Chinese colleagues, particularly in clay modeling and engineering. This close collaboration was instrumental in successfully navigating the complexity of the program and delivering the production T8 and T9
